Columbia Yacht Club

Racing practices and beginner instruction sessions are held three times a week at the Columbia Yacht Club , where we sail 420s from Monroe Harbor. The clubhouse (a moored ferryboat) is located at on the lakeshore at the end of Randolph Street (lower level), 111 N. Lake Shore Drive. To get there, take Lake Shore Drive and exit on Randolph. Alternately, take the Metra to the Randolph station, or the #6 bus to Randolph.

Competitive sailors from the sailing club participate in the fall and spring frostbiting series at the Chicago Yacht Club's Belmont Station on the north side.  It is located at 300 West Belmont Avenue, and can be reached by taking Lake Shore Drive north to Belmont Avenue, where you turn right into the yacht club.  There is a clubhouse with full facilities.  The Chicago Yacht Club also has a Monroe Station right downtown, at 400 East Monroe Street.

Northwestern University Sailing Center
The racing team usually competes in an intercollegiate regatta each fall and spring hosted by the Northwestern sailing team at their sailing center on Lake Michigan.  The sailing center is located on the Northwestern campus at 1823 Campus Drive, in Evanston.  Take Lake Shore Drive north, continuing on Sheridan Road.  In Evanston, turn right onto Campus Drive, and the sailing center is to the right.
