The team trains at the Jackson Park Yacht Club (JPYC), just minutes from UChicago’s campus on the waters of the beautiful Lake Michigan. All members of the Sailing Club join the JPYC as student members and are entitled to use the club and its facilities. The Sailing Club is deeply grateful for our continued partnership with the JPYC.

To join the club and attend practice, please complete our interest form, accessible here.

For the Fall 2025 season, we will practice at least twice per week: Thursdays and Fridays from 3:45 until sunset (around 7pm). We recommend all sailors bring the following to practice:

• Close-toed shoes
• Watch
• Water
• Gear appropriate to the weather (e.g., gloves, hat, etc.)

All other equipment can be provided by the club.
