Public Policy & Critical Race and Ethnic Studies / 2024 / Larchmont, NY

Stepping on as one of the UChicago Sailing Club’s Co-Captains, Natalie’s favorite boat to sail is a C420. Outside of sailing, Natalie is involved with University Theater and the Chicago Maroon. Natalie’s favorite sailing memory is hanging out and playing board games with members of the Purdue sailing team when we hosted them for a nearby regatta.

Economics / 2024 / Boston, MA

Returning for another year, Claire serves as Co-Captain of the Sailing Team with Natalie. She first learned to sail at the MIT Sailing Pavilion and has loved double-handed sailing since. Outside of sailing, Claire is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Her favorite team memory is playing volleyball during a no-wind day at Northwestern.

Math & Economics / 2026 / Jacksonville, FL

Joining the team in 2022, Max competes in 420s, Lasers, and Keelboats, racing 5 regattas in the 2022/2023 Year. In high school, he competed in the Laser, training with the US Sailing Team. Outside of Sailing, Max has published economic research and loves everything nature. You can probably find him at the beach. Max’s favorite sailing memory is of his first collegiate regatta at Northwestern.

Art History & Public Policy / 2025 / Arlington, TX

Nicholas serves as the Social, Communications, and Recruitment Chair for UChicago Sailing. His favorite boat to sail is a C420. Besides sailing, Nicholas works as a research assistant and a tour guide on campus. His favorite sailing memory is of the team’s first annual spring social in 2023.

Biology & Music on the CEST-Premed Track / 2024 / Seattle, WA

Hayden is currently the Regatta Chair of the Sailing Club and his favorite boat to sail is the Laser. Outside of sailing, Hayden is the chair of the Sports Club Funding Committee, and oboist in the symphony orchestra, and loves fantasy football. His favorite sailing memory is of placing well at a regatta in Northwestern with my fellow UChicago teammates.
